Videos feature synchronized captions

Subtitles are fundamental for deaf users and useful for users who cannot unmute themselves. They can be read by the screen reader.

Objectives

  • Allow users who cannot access sound or who are deaf to have a visual alternative synchronized with the image to comfortably follow the progress of the video without having to use an external transcript.
  • Make the video accessible

Implementation

Associate synchronized subtitles with each video content including at least the information given by speech.

Control

  • Check, for each video content providing information through speech, that it can be read via synchronized subtitles.

Validation

  • Needs to be human verified.
